Our Projects
Project name:
ARISE Foundation X Yale Young African Program
Geography: In all French-speaking countries in Africa
Description:
ARISE Foundation has established a partnership with the Yale Young African Program to support pre-university students from Francophone African countries to attend the prestigious Yale Young Global Scholar, an academic enrichment for outstanding high school students around the world.
Every year, the program welcomes high-achieving students from around the world to be part of a global learning community and participate in one interdisciplinary, two-week session at Yale University. It was, however, noted that the representation of young francophone Africans to the program was lower compared to their counterparts from other regions, due to some challenges specific to the Francophone African region.
The Yale Young African Program was, therefore, created to palliate those challenges and increase the participation of young francophone Africans to the YYGS through academic support and one-on-one mentoring. Through our contribution to YYAP, more francophone students will have access to the YYGS and be equipped with tools and skills to allow them to kickstart their university journey and succeed.
